Custom Design Program Overview
Thank you for working with us! We value
your trust in us.
The following described the steps in the
design phase of your Custom Design Program, so you know what to
expect, what's included and what's not included.
During the project, there is:
- NO TIME LIMIT - you can keep exploring
design ideas and details for as long as you want!
- NO DESIGN LIMIT - we will explore as many
design directions as you need for until you find the design that
is right for you!
We encourage you to take time to mull over
the designs presented, particularly as you are narrowing down
to your final design so that you are completely comfortable and
satisfied with your final choice.
What is Included:
- Preliminary Designs
- The preliminary designs are our first
round of design ideas based on your homework, requests and our
creativity.
- Designs are typically presented in multiple
color combinations based on your tastes, interior colors and
our suggestions.
- Review all preliminary designs and provide
detailed comments by e-mail or telephone.
- The more detail you provide about your
likes and dislikes, the more focused we are able to be in successive
design rounds.
- Iterative Design Work
- Based on comments and critiques, we will
prepare design variations or new design directions for you.
- Each time changes or new designs are added
to your web site, they will be organized on the Index page by
date, with newest designs at the bottom of the page.
- We can iterate designs as much as you
would like until you find the design direction you think most
suitable, and until we work out all details to your complete
satisfaction.
- Once we start focussing on a particular
design direction in plan or top view drawings.
- Live Online Design
- At any time during the project, you can
request, or we may suggest a live online design session.
- We connect your computer to ours using
go to meeting and while talking on the phone, you can direct
real time changes to your design.
- Although live online design sessions may
be set up on the fly, it is useful to schedule these sessions,
as they often last between 30 minutes and 2 hours.
- Color Selection Assistance
- As we narrow in on a final design, we
can also start to focus on colors.
- For this, we will use a combination of
the colors on your monitor, along with the actual paint colors
in the paint charts we mailed to you when you signed up.
- Detailed dimensioned drawings and Written
Specifications
- Once we have arrived at a final design,
we will engineer the scheme onto your aircraft and create a detailed
set of dimensioned drawings to 1/8" or 1mm along with written
specifications.
- These will be sent to you as a PDF via
e-mail, and if we have the information, to your paint shop as
well.
-
- Non-Design Assistance
- We will help you locate suitable paint
shops based on your location, aircraft type, design complexity
and our knowledge of paint shops in the industry.
- Your paint shop can call us at any time
for assistance should it be necessary when they are laying out
the paint scheme.
